‘Beauty and the Beast’ photos available

Updated: We have posted about 1,000 photos from all performances of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. at the Bay Street Players YPT. Sorry for the delay in posting Sunday photos.

Follow this link to our Flickr page and look for the album from your show. You will see some partial photos, which is a problem we are working to fix.

When you open an album, you will see a down arrow in the large photo at top, near the album name. Click that if you want to download ALL of the photos from that day. Otherwise, click open an individual photo and look for the down arrow. You can download various sizes — medium or large is good for emailing or posting to Facebook. Large or original are best for printing.

The photos are lightly edited, so they would benefit from more work in any photo program, like Apple’s Photo, Photoshop Express, etc. If you have any problems or need a larger size to crop and print, email johncutter(AT)me(DOT)com.

Update: We have posted more than 200 photos from Thursday’s and Friday’s performances of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. The Bay Street Players Young People’s Theatre performances continue through Sunday, March 20. For ticket information, read this post or call (352) 357-7777.

You can find the free photos from Thursday’s and Saturday’s cast in this online gallery and the ones from Friday’s cast in this gallery. You may download one or all of the photos, and you also may upload your own to share with others. If you would like us to remove a photo, send an e-mail to John Cutter, who helps manage this web site. Don’t know how to download the photos? We posted a short video from our time with the Warren Acting Company that explains it all.

Note: These are high-resolution photos — about 3,000 by 2,000 pixels, which is about one-third larger than a typical computer screen resolution. We do that in case you want to crop to a smaller view to highlight your child. We have done some color-correction, but if you have a photo editing program, you might be able to make it look even better.

YPT spring season almost here

A note from Amanda Warren: Hi everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Believe it or not, it’s almost time for the spring session to start up! I wanted to send a quick email full of reminders for the upcoming classes — please feel free to email me any time with questions at Bspypt@yahoo.com. (Any former students of mine, please notice this is a new email address.) Please add this email to your contact list so you can receive email updates from me concerning upcoming events, rehearsals costumes and everything else!

Plan on joining me Jan. 4th at Bay Street from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for a meet and greet at the theater. Past YPT students, this will be a great time to meet your new teacher (me!) and past Warren Acting Company students will get a chance to see the theater and meet the Bay Street family they are now a part of . I will also have Disney’s Beauty and the Beast scripts and CDs available for pick up that day and audition information to better prepare you for the upcoming production.

For those of you that still owe a show balance, you can easily pay it that day at the box office, Please remember your balance needs be paid in full before the first day of class.

I’m so excited to be meeting all of you and to see a lot of familiar faces again. I cannot wait to get this show started, we are going to have a lot of fun!

See you at the theater!
